Lifeguard Recertification
The purpose of a recertification course is to give participants the opportunity to review the course knowledge and skills within a formal course setting in order to maintain their American Red Cross Lifeguarding
Prerequisite Swimming Skills Evaluation
■ Prerequisite 1: Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence (150/50 yards)
■ Prerequisite 2: Timed Event (1 minute, 40 seconds)
Participants will need to prove their skills and knowledge by participating in scenarios to demonstrate their skills and take the written test to prove their knowledge.
April Session
This is are recertification course to renew a current lifeguard certificate.
Due to the new 2024 coursework version, there is a 7-8 hour online course that needs to be completed before the in person course. The in-person course consists of the demonstration of skills to pass the lifeguard recertification course.
This includes the Pre Requisites, entries, approaches, rescues and written exam.
