2025 Youth Basketball
Algona Family YMCA Youth Basketball is a developmental, recreational program for boys and girls in Pre-K/Kindergarten through 4th grade. The program’s objectives are: development of basketball skills, teaching sportsmanship and fair play, socialization among teammates and other teams, and enjoying the sport of basketball.
How often are practices?
Kids will practice twice a week.
Will practices be at the Y?
All practices will be held in the Moss (large) gym at the Y.
Where will games be played?
All of the games will be played in the Moss (large) gym at the Y. We have games during the last 3 weeks of the program.
What does my child need to bring?
Bring water and make sure your child wears tennis shoes.
